Vehicle Insurance for MVPA affiliate members

  1. Coverage is for active MVPA affiliate members only. Affiliate non-members will be covered UP-On joining the MVPA.
  2. Coverage for 1,000,000.00 dollars liability begins immediately as soon as affiliate payment of
    $350.00 is received. Cost is per year.
  3. Coverage is for all affiliates in the United States and the Provinces of Canada.
  4. Coverage is secondary to the liability carried on a vehicle licensed for operation on the highway.
  5. Halftrack and fully tracked vehicles are covered with the understanding that highway usage is limited to moving the vehicle a short distance from a trailer to the start of a parade route or to an event and back to its trailer, unless on display afterwards, then back to the trailer.
  6. Coverage begins when the vehicle departs the home location for the planned activity until its return.
  7. Affiliate Presidents will attest, in writing, to MVPA HQ, that they certify all applicable road worthy vehicles, operated by MVPA members, are properly licensed and insured. This will be a yearly task. The certification will accompany the affiliate payment.
  8. The Affiliate President or other members of the Executive Committee, will notify HQ of a planned activity one week before the event. If a last-minute activity comes up, they may phone HQ and inform them of same. These will be kept on file, under the affiliate name, in case a reportable event occurs, so we can tell the insurer that HQ was aware of the event. It will also serve to track just how many events that affiliates participate in.
  9. This coverage is also extended to any regional show that the affiliate may put on or travel to. This includes travel to and from the National Convention for display of a vehicle(s).
  10. If a situation arises that is not generally covered by these rules, call HQ and they will contact the agent for clarification.
