MVPA Hall of Fame

The MVPA Hall of Fame is for vehicles, which have been displayed at MVPA Conventions or Events which are considered stars in their own right. The following are the guidelines by which the vehicles are selected.

1) A vehicle has to be shown at a MVPA convention at least five (5) years prior to the year it is nominated.
2) A vehicle does not have to have been judged or selected for an award at the convention.
3) A vehicle may be chosen for its uniqueness, impact on the hobby, the degree of work involved in its restoration, or the manner in which it was prepared and displayed. It is that vehicle members remembered years after the convention.
4) The award is given to the vehicle not the owner.

The MVPA Hall of Fame Committee (HOFC) will be chaired by a MVPA member appointed by the President and will consist of six (6) additional members, selected by the chairperson and approved by the Board of which at least 2 will be current Directors.

The Chairperson sends a form annually to the HOFC members requesting they nominate five (5) vehicles. The Chairperson then lists all nominees on one ballot and distributes to the HOFC requesting they each select up to five (5) of the nominated vehicles. A vehicle must receive at least 4 of the 7 votes to be accepted into the MVPA Hall of Fame.

The HOFC will present their inductees to the Board at the winter meeting. The winners are not to be announced until the MVPA’s Convention Awards Banquet at which time a certificate will be presented to the current owner. The inductees will be listed in SUPPLY LINE as part of the convention coverage following the event. The following vehicles have been inducted:
