MVs in Brazil

Member Ulrich Winkler sends pics of his 1942 GPW which he bought in Brazil in 2004, restored it, and drives it on a regular bases. With approximately 7000 miles done so far, it has never let him down.

Below are photos of Ulrich's 1967 Willys Rural ¾ ton Military Truck purchased in Brazil.

Though Willys is a household name in the USA, they started an assembly line of most models in the 1950’s in Brazil. The Brazilian Military adopted the model F 75 to become the F 85 nicknamed the “chacorro louco” = crazy dog. It came as pick up with canvas top and rear benches or as ambulance with a closed cab. Some had winches, most didn’t. The markings are original Military, since the Antique Car Club has an agreement with the Military to allow the use of the old and no longer used Military crest “Southern Cross” to be used on historic Military Vehicles.

Ulrich has put over 4000 miles on this vehicle since he has owned it.

Ferret in Ohio

Member Ian Wallace (#20862) has sent a pic of his 1960 British Diamler "Ferret" Armored Scout Car. Ian has put a good 8,000 miles on this street legal vehicle in the last eight years.
